OPTOMA PK301 Pico Pocket Projector review

pico pocket projectors are the new rage now, with so many people needing quick and easy ways of making presentations. Pico projectors are especially useful for their capabilities in connection to smartphones and tablets in a pinch, most notably for their usefulness with the Apple iPad. If you want a project for iPad, then a pico projector is the way to go.
There are a few Pico projectors on the market right now, manufactured by various companies. Some are definitely better than others, especially those created by specialized projector companies like Optoma. The OPTOMA PK301 is one of the best Pico projectors on the market, and here’s why.
PROS
The OPTOMA PK301 was one of the first iPad projectors out on the market, and that may be part of the reason why they are so good. First of all, the design of the OPTOMA PK301 is very high-quality, compact, durable, lightweight, and stylish. They are undoubtedly extremely sturdy, though one probably wouldn’t survive a fall very well.
Not only that, but the OPTOMA PK301 produces a display that is very high quality for its size. Most Pico projectors these days range about the same quality of display, and the OPTOMA PK301 doesn’t fall short. The light is powerful, and while it displays best in a dark room, it doesn’t require pitch blackness to show properly.
The OPTOMA PK301 is perhaps the fastest projector for ipad on the market, taking about 8 seconds to boot up and prepare for usage. Display is fast and there’s no delay in the reaction time.
Finally, to wrap up a few more pros, the OPTOMA PK301 has sufficient connector cables to be used by all sorts  of devices. There is expandable storage slots for micro SD, and many other ports for many other connections. The OPTOMA PK301 also has a relatively good battery life  and a long lasting bulb.
CONS
We can’t focus only on the good aspects of the OPTOMA PK301, as there are a few flaws. For one thing, the battery life, while sufficient, is less than some other Pico projectors like the SHOWWX. The power supply is a bit bulky, and could benefit from a sleeker design to match with the whole portability concept of the OPTOMA PK301. If we’re really grasping at straws, the cables are a bit short, and it would be nice if there was some sort of tripod included or installed with the projector.
Overall, however, the OPTOMA PK301 is perhaps the best pico projector currently on the market. Did we mention that the price is one of the lowest out there? If you want a reliable projector for iPad, you won’t be able to do much better than the OPTOMA PK301.
